2. Services

 2.1 Lessons are delivered either:

  • Online via an agreed video conferencing platform (e.g., Zoom, Skype, or similar), or

  • In person at the Teacher’s home studio.

2.2 Lesson duration, frequency, format, and content will be agreed at the time of booking.

2.3 The Teacher will use reasonable skill and care in delivering lessons tailored to the Student’s goals and ability.

3. Booking and Payment

3.1 All lessons must be booked in advance via the online booking system or as otherwise agreed.

3.2 Payment is required in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

3.3 Bookings are only confirmed once payment has been received.

3.4 Prices are subject to change, but confirmed bookings will not be affected.

3.5 Any additional costs associated with in-person lessons (e.g., room hire or travel, where applicable) will be clearly communicated in advance.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

4.1 The Student may cancel or reschedule a lesson with at least 24 hours’ notice prior to the scheduled start time.

4.2 Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable and non-transferable.

4.3 If the Teacher needs to cancel a lesson, as much notice as possible will be given and a full refund or reschedule will be offered.

4.4 Failure to attend a scheduled lesson (“no-show”) will result in forfeiture of the lesson fee.

4.5 For in-person lessons, lateness by the Student will not extend the lesson time.

5. Technical Requirements (Online Lessons)

5.1 The Student is responsible for ensuring they have a suitable internet connection, device, microphone, and environment for online lessons.

5.2 The Teacher is not responsible for disruptions caused by the Student’s technical issues.

5.3 If a lesson is significantly disrupted due to the Teacher’s technical issues, a reschedule or partial refund may be offered at the Teacher’s discretion.

6. Location and Environment (In-Person Lessons)

6.1 The location of in-person lessons will be at the Teacher’s home studio.

6.2 The Student is responsible for arriving on time at the agreed location.

7. Conduct and Participation

7.1 Students are expected to behave respectfully and professionally during lessons.

7.2 The Teacher reserves the right to terminate a lesson without refund if inappropriate behaviour occurs.

7.3 Students should attend lessons on time and be prepared to participate fully.

8. Health and Safety

8.1 Singing is a physical activity; Students participate at their own risk.

8.2 The Teacher is not liable for any vocal strain or injury sustained during or after lessons, provided reasonable instruction has been given.

8.3 Students are encouraged to follow guidance carefully and inform the Teacher of any relevant health concerns.

8.4 For in-person lessons, Students must inform the Teacher in advance of any illness or condition that may pose a risk to others.

9. Teaching of Minors

9.1 Students under the age of 18 (“Minors”) must have a parent or legal guardian provide consent prior to booking lessons.

9.2 The parent or guardian is responsible for booking, payment, and ensuring the Minor complies with these Terms and Conditions.

9.3 For online lessons, a parent or responsible adult must be present in the home during the lesson, and the lesson should take place in a suitable, open environment.

9.4 For in-person lessons, a parent or guardian must ensure appropriate supervision, including remaining on the premises where reasonably required or as agreed with the Teacher.

9.5 The Teacher reserves the right to refuse or discontinue lessons with Minors if appropriate safeguarding conditions are not met.

9.6 Communication regarding lessons for Minors will be conducted primarily with the parent or guardian unless otherwise agreed.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Any teaching materials, exercises, recordings, or resources provided remain the intellectual property of the Teacher.

10.2 Materials are for personal use only and must not be shared, reproduced, or distributed without prior written consent.

11. Recording of Lessons

11.1 Lessons may only be recorded with the mutual consent of both the Teacher and the Student (and parent/guardian where the Student is a Minor).

11.2 Recordings are for personal use only and must not be published or shared without written permission.

12. Liability
